How to make rich compost from your kitchen waste.

Greenerliving Bokashi active bran is at the heart of our Greenerliving Bokashi kitchen composting system.
The Greenerliving Bokashi bran is a dry mixture of bran that contains specific micro-organisms that will pickle the waste, speeding up composting, suppress pathogens, prevent putrefaction and eliminate bad odors.
To use the Greenerliving Bokashi kitchen composting system is really easy, just sprinkle a small amount of Bokashi bran over the the food waste you add to your bucket.
The main advantage of the Greenerliving Bokashi kitchen composting system is that you can add all cooked food waste, meat, fish, cheese, rice, bread and pasta.
Just sprinkle Greenerliving Bokashi active bran on top of the newly added food scraps, building up the layers and repeating the process each time you add food waste.
Ensure to keep the system airtight, you will know you are doing it right if the bin has a pleasant sweet and sour smell.
The active micro-organisms will process the food waste in just a couple of weeks, but we recommend letting the sealed bin stand for at least 2 months.
It will break down amazingly fast when it is incorporated into soil or added to a normal compost heap.
Finished Bokashi can even be added to your earthworm bin, but slowly as it is a bit acidic.
A 1kg pack of Greenerliving Bokashi active bran should last approximately 2 months.
